Croft Late Bottle Vintage (LBV) uses wines drawn from a reserves of some of the best full bodied red ports produced in 2015. From grapes grown in Croft's own vineyard, Quinta da Roeda, and other top properties in the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior areas.
Unlike Vintage Port which is bottled after only two years in wood and ages in the bottle, LBV is aged in wood and then blended after 6 years and is ready to drink when bottled. The blending process ensures that the wine is balanced and complete and follows a similar style to other Croft LBV.
This LBV is aromatic, with a slightly spicy bouquet, with plenty of intense blackcurrant, cherry and plum aromas. It tastes luscious, full, rich and rounded. It has a good depth and long finish.
